Names Joseph Wang Vice President of Engineering

With the addition of Joseph Wang to its management team, Asempra will continue to enhance its strong development capabilities with its worldwide engineering teams, while delivering solutions that solve critical mid-market continuous availability issues. Most recently senior director for Mendocino Software, Wang will offer Asempra his extensive technical and management expertise in continuous availability and data protection solutions to lead the development of Asempra's product line, as well as the growth of its technical teams.

About Joseph Wang

With over twenty-five years of Software Development experience in High Tech, Joseph Wang has expertise in leading and delivering innovative products for mission critical systems and applications. Most recently, he was the senior director of development for Mendocino Software's InfiniView product suite for Data Protection, Recovery, and Replication based on leading edge continuous data protection technology. Prior to joining Mendocino, he served as senior director of engineering for AppManager, which accounted for over $100M in annual revenue for NetIQ. At NetIQ he drove a new Control Center Architecture, improving AppManager's scalability tenfold and delivering high performance cross-platform solutions in UNIX/Linux environments. He also held senior development roles for Cisco's IOS/VoIP/CAR product line, Bay Networks Optivity NMS, and Fujitsu's NetWalker NMS Platform. Joseph has a B.S. in Engineering from National Taiwan University and a M.S. of Engineering and Telecommunication Certificate from UC Berkeley.
