Lars Hinrichs

Edit this section

Lars Hinrichs, founder of XING AG, started his first company in 1998 – the Internet platform for politics and new media, politik-digital.de – which was awarded the Grimme Prize. After 2001, Lars shifted his focus towards investment and funding consulting, and successfully negotiated several rounds of financing for various enterprises. In March 2008, Lars was nominated as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.

Lars Hinrichs has always been fascinated by the potential of networking. His idea of making contacts of his contacts visible, and then in turn connecting these contacts with his network for professional gain, provided the concept which launched the XING project in 2003.
