Mike Smith
Mike is the Gordon McKay Professor of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering and Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University. He holds numerous patents and has published widely referenced papers in the areas of dynamic binary modification, machine-specific and profile-driven compilation, high-performance computer architecture, and practical applications of computer security.
Prior to Harvard, Mike spent several years at Honeywell Information Systems designing VLSI chips. He received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from WPI, and a B.S. in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Princeton University. He is a member of the IEEE and ACM professional societies.
