Murray R. Wilson
Murray joined River Cities in 1995 following the launch of River Cities Capital Fund I in 1994. He has worked in the venture capital industry since 1992, having been an active investor in both information technology and healthcare deals over the years. During the late 1990's, he was the lead manager in several software, healthcare IT and healthcare services investments. As the technology market shifted away from traditional software in the early 2000's, Murray transitioned to focus on software-as-a-service and outsourced technology-enabled business services companies. He has been on over two dozen private Boards of Directors. Previous to his venture capital career, Murray was an entrepreneur-student at Xavier University where he served as the Graduate Assistant to the Chairman of the Finance Department while providing consulting services such as writing business plans and creating financial models to local growth companies. His first professional position was Investment Officer for a Boston-based publicly held financial institution during the latter half of the 1980s. Murray holds a BA in Economics from Cornell University and an MBA from Xavier University.
