Nick Beim

Nick Beim, a General Partner in the Waltham office, focuses primarily on Internet and software investments.. He serves on the boards of Intent Media, Conductor, Gilt Groupe, TheLadders.com and Care.com. Nick was a strong believer in Care.com early on, recognizing the potential for the Internet to connect families with the care services they need more efficiently and effectively.

Previous investments Beim was involved in include JBoss (acquired by Red Hat) and AppIQ (acquired by Hewlett-Packard).

Prior to Matrix, Nick advised a variety of technology companies on strategic, operational and financial issues at McKinsey & Co and Goldman, Sachs & Co.

Nick Beim graduated from Stanford University and holds a M.Phil. from Oxford University, where he was a Marshall Scholar. He also serves on the board of Endeavor, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping entrepreneurs in developing countries.
