As Chief Operating Officer, Paul Gaffney brings to the Desktone team over 20 years of experience in business transformation through technology innovation and process improvement. Gaffney joined Desktone in November 2006 and leads all product and technology development, as well as support operations.

Gaffney served as Executive Vice President and member of the senior leadership team at Staples, playing key roles as head of supply chain and CIO. He transformed Staples' supply chain into a lean, synchronized operation that delivers materially better sales and margin results with substantial improvements in the use of working capital and operating profit.

Gaffney pioneered Office Depot's Internet business, turning his initial idea of integrated multi-channel Internet commerce into a platform for a multi-billion-dollar eCommerce giant. After leaving Office Depot, Gaffney continued to innovate in information technology. Gaffney built Website Pros., which provides small businesses the web development services previously only available to large companies. After raising almost $65 million in venture financing, Paul launched the company that now trades on the NASDAQ (WSPI).

In several executive positions at Charles Schwab, Gaffney played key technology leadership roles in automating mutual fund trading, building the systems platform for schwab.com, and delivering advanced trading technology to Schwab's active trader clients.

Gaffney serves as an independent director on the boards of Power Reviews (www.powerreviews.com) and ePark Systems. Gaffney is also Chairman of the elected school committee for the Northborough-Southborough Regional School District, an elected member of the school committee for the Southborough Public Schools, has served on several alumni committees at Harvard University, and has been recognized by leading publications.

Gaffney received an A.B. from Harvard College in Computer Science.
