Raman Khanna
Raman Khanna is an experienced executive with over 26 years of operating and investment experience in Internet infrastructure and enterprise computing. He was the Chief Information Officer of Stanford University and a pioneer in development and adoption of the Internet. He has been involved with more than 25 start-ups in roles such as investor, Board of Director member and Advisory Board member. Raman co-founded Diamondhead Ventures in June 2000 and has led the firm’s investments in Cavium Networks, firstRain, Intraspect (acquired by Vignette), Nitronex, Orative (acquired by Cisco), PassMark Security (acquired by RSA Security), Reactivity, and Serus. Prior to 2000, Raman served as an advisor to many companies including Berkeley Networks (acquired by Fore Systems), Siara Networks (acquired by Redback), Terabeam, SupportSoft (IPO), Selectica (IPO), Mergent Systems (acquired by CommerceOne) and Portola Communications (acquired by Netscape). Raman earned an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering and Masters degrees in Computer Science and Business Administration.
