Tarique Mustafa
Tarique is the Founder, CTO and Chairman of nexTier Networks, Inc. Previously, Tarique founded Network Utilities, a Silicon Valley startup that built a wireless infrastructure and security platform. Tarique also served as the CTO of Andes Networks, architects of an SSL Security Appliance and acquired by Sun Microsystems in 2003). Most recently Tarique served as Principal Architect at Nevis Networks where he was responsible for building next generation Security Monitoring and Security Event Correlation technology for IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection/Prevention) and SSL/IPSec.
Tarique has held key technical positions with Symantec Corporation, DHL Airways, MCI WorldCom and EDS Systems where he led engineering teams developing and running industry-leading technologies,applications and systems. Tarique has several patents pending with USPTO and has published many research publications in areas of computer & network security, software architecture and database technologies. Tarique holds master’s degrees in Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Southern California (USC). Tarique was awarded the prestigious Rotary International Scholarship for Computer Science studies from USC based on his doctoral studies in Computer Science.
