Tom has been BodyMedia's VP of Sales & Marketing since August 2006. Tom's career has spanned over 20 years in the healthcare industry focusing on business development, field sales and marketing management of medical diagnostic devices. Tom comes to BodyMedia from Medtronic where during his 8 year tenure, he served as Director, Business Development and Director, U.S. Sales for Medtronic Emergency Response Systems in Seattle, WA. At Medtronic, Tom led the rapid growth of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) by developing a talented key accounts and partnership sales team and by segmenting the customer markets to provide for the necessary focus of business opportunities. During Tom's leadership, Medtronic claimed the number one market share position in AED sales. Prior to joining Medtronic, Tom was in leadership positions with Johnson & Johnson's Clinical Diagnostics where he worked as Eastern Region Sales Manager, National Accounts Manager, Marketing Manager and Territory Sales Representative. Tom holds a B.A. in economics from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
