Oldenburg, Germany, January 20th 2006 - ChipVision Design Systems, a leading supplier
of low power optimization solutions, today announced the expansion of its executive
management team with the appointment of Tim Herbert as Vice President of worldwide sales,
effective immediately.
“With his successful sales and consulting background, Tim is ideally positioned to take our
world wide sales organization to the next level,” said Stan Krolikoski, CEO of ChipVision.

Tim joins ChipVision with more than 20 years of experience in the sale and marketing of high
technology products with an emphasis in software and semiconductors. Tim has participated
in taking leading edge companies including Intel, Adaptec, Cadence Design Systems and
CoWare to the number one position in their respective markets.
“Design for low power has become the crucial factor in the electronics industry and has
become just as important for design teams as design for highest performance and smallest
area have been in the past” said Tim Herbert “As a supplier of low power solutions at the

Herbert's first sales position was with Intel Corporation in 1982. In 1985, he joined Adaptec
as the company's first direct sales person. From 1989 to 1996 he was with Cadence Design
Systems in a variety of sales positions, including director of sales for Japan and director of
worldwide sales operations. Form 1996 to 2001 Herbert developed a multi-million dollar sales
force effectiveness business, training and coaching several thousand sales people and their
management teams in the software, semiconductor, IP (intellectual property) and information
services industries. Over the last four years Tim held multiple roles at CoWare including Vice
President North American Sales, Vice President Strategic Sales & Alliances, and Vice
President European Sales.
Herbert has a B.S. in computer engineering from Iowa State University.
