Uwe Albrecht
Dr. Uwe Albrecht is Managing Partner at Siemens Venture Capital, being responsible for all worldwide venture capital investments of Siemens in the areas of Automation, IT, Automotive/Transportation, Energy, and Lighting.
Before joining SVC in 2000 he directed the innovation management for Siemens' Communication Devices line of business. In a previous assignment he has spent five years with Mannesmann AG in Germany as a consultant and technology manager in communications, telematics, logistics, and automotive technology.
A native of Mainz, Germany, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Washington, Seattle, a Physics Diploma from Johannes-Gutenberg-Universitat Mainz, and a Ph.D. (summa cum laude) in Physics from Universitat Konstanz.
