Bix released a service for consumers to create and participate in online contests. Contest areas include photography, lip-syncing to songs, beauty and writing; users submit videos, photos, audio recordings or text to compete. Organizations such as theme park company Six Flags Inc. have sponsored contests on Bix. Bix\'s technology team has developed innovative technology to deliver the Bix service. The site includes a number of technology firsts, including video karaoke on the internet, user-generated contests, and advanced web-based video recording tools which make use of a user\'s webcam. Bix is compatible with both Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh computers and has leveraged the latest technology to deliver a dynamic user-interface ( AJAX and Flash).
